Flowers white or greenish, fragrant, regular, bisexual, in axillary or terminal cymes or panicles; calyx free, small, campanulate, 4-6 lobed; corolla 4-12 lobed; stamens 2, inserted on corolla, filaments short, anthers large, oblong; style short, stigma simple or 2 lobed. Fruit a capsule, berry or drupe.
